Therapeutic Bookkeeping was founded in 2017 by Alicia Bishop. Alicia had graduated years prior with a degree in Psychology and a vision to open her own private practice. Visions shifted quickly after Alicia had her first child 2 weeks after graduating, and after realizing how underserved the therapeutic industry is in terms of business ownership, specifically in bookkeeping, accounting and taxes. Determined to utilize her degree, passion for psychology, accounting education, and make a positive shift in the way therapists in private practice manage their business, business finances, and taxes - Therapeutic Bookkeeping was founded and created specifically to service therapists in private practice with top notch, industry specific bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services.
The vision of Therapeutic Bookkeeping is to see therapists who own their own private practice not simply ‘own a business’, but to see them operate and manage a successful and profitable private practice. Anyone with drive can own a business, but to own a business that fits one's vision of success AND make it profitable, is entirely different. The vision of Therapeutic Bookkeeping is working with amazing therapists all over the United States who want to build their business to their vision of success, while ensuring it’s profitable. We want to work with clients who value our services as much as they value their own. Our clients are changing the world one therapy session at a time - while entrusting their finances to us and knowing they have an ever-faithful accountability team who will always be cheering for their success (and of course accounting for every penny made & spent along the way!!)
