• Physical security: While all of your accounts are managed online, it is important to note that as a remote bookkeeping company, your financial information is never stored to our computers or printing devices. In the event a paper copy of an item is received, the item is stored securely in our office and discarded properly when no longer needed. Additionally, at Therapeutic Bookkeeping, we utilize hard drive encryption and have data back-ups in place in the rare occurrence that something may happen to the original files.
• Software security: We utilize Quickbooks Online and Xero for all bookkeeping and accounting software purposes. Both tools are properly encrypted for sending and storage of files. • File transfer and storage: We typically work with well-known 3rd party platforms including Hubdoc and Google Drive for the storage and transfer of your receipts and other bookkeeping and business-related files. Hubdoc has bank-level security and encryption and integrates seamlessly with accounting software. Should particularly confidential files need to be transferred, additional secure transfer systems may be utilized.
